Issue Types

In order to provide better support, we ask that you help distinguish the type of issue you're experiencing with your website.

  • ­Are you unable to edit a particular page?  Can’t sign in to the site?  This is a technical issue.
  • ­Are components on pages actually not functioning?  For example, you are unable to click things, slideshows do not transition, dropdown menus don’t’ drop down on hover, etc.  This is a functional issue.  Additionally, functional issues should be reproducible.  If you can’t reproduce the issue, then it may have been a chance error resulting from your internet connection, computer’s available memory, or other hardware issue.
  • ­Are components of the page clashing?  Does text wrap when it shouldn’t?  Does text extend beyond the edge of a region?  Does an image not scale properly?  Does a border appear too thick, too thin, in the wrong color?  These are examples of rendered formatting/display issues.
