Browser Cache/History

Modern browsers include webpage caching- the storing of website scripts/styles on your computer from a previous visit for faster loading during subsequent visits.  Browser caching improves performance on sites you routinely visit.

Caching can occasionally cause an already resolved issue or change to continue to display by loading elements of the site from your local Temporary Internet Files folder rather than the site itself.

A simple forced refresh/reload can often fix the discrepancy. Common keyboard shortcuts for refreshing the active browser tab/window are:

  • Windows: F5
  • Mac: Command + R
  • Linux: F5

In the case that refreshing the page does not appear to load the reportedly "resolved" stylesheets/functionality, you should try clearing your browser cache manually.
